You don’t need to pay for air.
You receive it freely, with each breath.
And just like air, you don’t need to pay to feel good now.
It’s available — right here, right now — for free.
You can practice feeling good, nurture it, grow it like a garden inside you. Until it blooms more and more, wherever and whenever you wish.
So many people today think feeling good is something the outside world must give them:
“When I go to the movies with my friends, I can feel good.
But when I’m at work, I can’t.”
“When I eat something sweet, I feel good.
But when I eat my vegetables, I don’t.”
“If I’m healthy, I can feel good.
But if my foot hurts, I can’t.”
But feeling good is not an outside-in experience.
It’s inward-generated.
It comes from moving your body in a way that feels good.
Focusing on thoughts that feel good.
Practicing emotions that feel good.
You are unique. What works for you may look different than what works for me. But the truth is the same for all of us:
Feeling good is like air.
It’s free.
It’s abundant.
And we get better at tapping into it with practice.
I’m reminded of a line from the show Yellowstone — a Native American chieftain said:
“White people think they need to go to work and earn money so they can buy a house, buy food, and pay for the electricity that runs their world.
But in our world, you don’t have to pay for food. You go out and find it.
You don’t need to buy a house. You seek shelter.”
You don’t need to pay to feel good now.
You can just… feel good now.
And one of life’s greatest joys is learning how to do that — in your own way, on your own terms.
I hope you do.
Love and blessings,
Jack
