There’s a wellness coach I like named Michael Smoak. His catchphrase is:
“It isn’t easy, but it is simple. Don’t overcomplicate it.”
Want to accomplish any goal?
Want to bring anything you can imagine into your life?
The answer is simpler than you think.
Feel good now.
If you want to write a book, write a little every day — as much as feels good.
Keep going until it’s finished.
Just don’t stop.
If you want better health, move your body and eat whole foods every day — as much as feels good.
Keep going until you feel how you want to feel.
Just don’t stop.
If you want more love and friendship, follow the Golden Rule: do and say to others only what you’d want them to do and say to you.
Keep going, no matter how others act.
Because you’re becoming the person who naturally attracts love.
Just don’t stop.
We all know this. It isn’t complicated. It’s common sense.
And feeling good now is what helps us keep going.
It puts us in the mental and emotional state to show up as our best self.
It keeps us oriented toward solutions.
It helps us enjoy the process, so we don’t burn out.
It reminds us to balance persistence with patience, movement with rest.
Because creation isn’t a straight line.
It’s a cycle: forward, then rest. Forward, then rest.
When you feel good now, you can enjoy every part of the cycle.
And that makes you want to practice it, again and again.
Feel good now.
Focus on what you want.
Feel good now.
Just don’t stop.
Feel good now.
As Michael Smoak says: “It isn’t easy, but it is simple. Don’t overcomplicate it.”
Much love,
Jack
