Give someone an apple and they will eat for a day.
Teach someone to garden and they will eat forever.
Feel good now.
As a vegetarian, I prefer this version of the old saying.
But no matter your diet, the lesson stands: when you know how to do something for yourself, you can be self-reliant for a lifetime.
And feeling good now may be the ultimate life skill.
It heals your body, frees your mind from stress, and aligns your energy with your highest potential.
And it’s not something we can outsource.
It’s not even something we can gift.
Each of us has to learn to feel good for ourselves.
But when we do? We become living examples.
People see your bliss and think, “I want some of that.”
Or they just feel better being near you.
One study showed that when a patient trusted their doctor, and the doctor felt genuine compassion, their heart rates and nervous systems literally synced up.
Even without words, your energy touches lives.
And when you feel good now, what you radiate brings good to the world around you.
So learn to feel good now.
Get really good at it.
Not just a little good.
Really good.
It’s a gift to yourself.
It’s a gift to the world.
