Feel good now.
Sometimes people offer advice to their past self.
This is the advice I’d offer to the version of me that woke up this morning — from the perspective of the me writing this message tonight:
Hey you!
Good job. You rock.
You woke up and felt good. You knew what to do.
Feel good now.
And then, at some point, you got distracted.
You started comparing yourself to other people.
You started thinking about what you don’t have instead of what you do.
You started thinking about the future instead of the present.
You started trying to control the universe instead of flowing with it.
So, if you see this tomorrow morning before you dive into your day, here’s my advice:
Feel good now.
And if you start to compare yourself to other people…
Don’t.
Their life isn’t yours, and it isn’t meant to be.
If you start thinking and making plans about the future…
Don’t.
Focus on making this moment the best it can be.
If you start trying to control the universe…
Don’t.
The universe is infinitely better at this game than you are.
Feel good now.
Appreciate what you have.
Remember that the universe wants to give you what feels good — as long as you keep doing everything in your power to feel good now.
You don’t need to go anywhere else.
You don’t have to do anything else.
Everything you need will come.
Everything you want will come.
You’ve got this.
Feel good now.
Love you,
Me.
