Feel good now.
I’m sitting at the airport, waiting.
My friend’s plane arrived late.
And I feel good now.
Why?
Because… what else am I going to do?
Be upset that the plane landed 23 minutes behind schedule?
Am I supposed to be mad at the wind that slowed the aircraft down?
Or the runway that was too full?
Or the pilot who just wanted a safe flight for all passengers?
It doesn’t make any sense.
People come up with the strangest reasons to be frustrated with life.
Why not spend that same energy finding reasons to enjoy it?
Feel good now.
So, I’m sitting here across the aisle from the nice lady in the puffy orange jacket, four people over from the teenager in the matching orange pants. (Same exact color. I don’t think either of them has noticed.)
I’m writing a little letter.
(Fourth wall break: it’s this one.)
And I’m remembering a line from the Scroll of the Dream Fulfilled in the Bliss Blueprint:
“I shall feel good not because all is perfect,
but because my feeling is the sculptor of what comes next.”
(You should definitely download the Bliss Blueprint if you want to reprogram yourself for daily blissful living.)
When my friend walks through the Arrival doors, he’ll find a happy, good-feeling host waiting for him.
And because I felt good now…
our time together will be blessed by positive momentum.
Feel good now.
No matter what happens, you deserve it.
Now, back to waiting for a dashing theatre professor with brilliant blue eyes.
Two minutes later…
I’m realizing I should have made a sign with his name on it.
But instead of his name, I should’ve written:
FEEL GOOD NOW!
I think he would recognize me.
Jack
