I had an amazing day.
But I didn’t feel good.
Objectively, it was a dream:
- I wrote an intense, climactic scene in my novel.
- I enjoyed beautiful quality time with family and friends.
- I ate delicious, healthy food.
- I shared a dozen videos that will radiate light to tens of thousands.
- I received income from my business, creative work, and investments.
- I got heartfelt praise from people touched by the frequency I’ve been radiating.
I received so much.
And still — by the end of the day, I felt overwhelmed.
Exhausted.
Standing at the sink brushing my teeth, I looked back on my day.
How rich it had been. How full.
And I wondered:
Am I going to have to do all that again tomorrow?
That moment brought me back to something I had forgotten:
The little pauses.
Not the moments of doing, receiving, or even relaxing…
But the ones that feel still. Empty. Quiet.
Like eating a bowl of grapes on the balcony — phone away — nothing but breath and the crunch of fruit.
Like the moment after a video recording when I honestly ask:
Do I want to make another one?
And if I do, I do.
Or listening to a voice note from a new friend… then standing still, gazing at the hills, waiting for an answer to rise.
No pressure. No need to fill the silence. Just trust.
It’s the balance.
Movement and stillness.
Music and quiet.
Light and dark.
I promised myself last night that I would appreciate the stillness more.
The little, empty moments that highlight everything else.
Because without those moments, even joy can become overstimulation.
It reminded me of a story I once heard about a Japanese emperor.
His days were booked from morning to night with the affairs of state.
One day, a scheduling mistake left a meeting room completely empty.
The emperor walked in, saw no one was there — and stood silently for several moments.
Then, he bowed to the empty room.
And as he walked out, he said to his aide:
“We should schedule more meetings like this.”
So if you’re reading this and feeling a little full,
a little overstimulated,
a little… done —
I see you.
And I invite you to let today include a little emptiness.
A little breath.
A little meeting with no one.
Schedule it if you need to.
It will bless you.
Wishing you movement and stillness,
action and rest,
light and space.
Blessings from my heart to yours,
Jack
