I turned my words into a weapon.
Feel good now.
The other day, the family was having a conversation about the tabletop roleplaying game that we play together.
After three years of gameplay, our heroic fantasy characters had saved the kingdom and reached a pinnacle of their career.
It was time to start a new adventure, with fresh characters.
The conversation of the moment was about what weapon my new monk character should use. A quarterstaff (just a long walking stick)? Or a glaive (a long walking stick with a sword-blade at the end)?
The next night, we were watching a Netflix show.
I had completely forgotten about our Dungeons & Dragons conversation.
Then, the main character in the show (who had been fighting bad guys with a samurai sword for the entire series up to this point) pulled out a glaive.
I was floored.
My casual reference had actually shifted me into a parallel timeline… one where glaives suddenly started showing up!
It was a powerful reminder.
Feel good now.
Focus on thoughts that feel good now.
Because thoughts shift our timeline.
Speak words that feel good now.
Because words shift our timeline.
Do what feels good now.
Because actions shift our timeline.
The energy we cultivate selects which timeline we occupy.
And you deserve to live in a timeline that feels good now.
Let’s keep making bliss our baseline, together.
From a fantasy tavern with a glaive leaning against the wall behind me,
Jack
